Iron Man, Iron Man, does whatever an iron can

Iron Man brought the lulz. Also squee. You young whippersnappers probably didn't spot a jazzed-up version of the old cartoon theme in the casino, not recognise the awesome guitarage over the end credits.

Took me a while to recognise Jeff Bridges. Never did recognise Gwyneth Paltrow. I just can't tell actresses apart. Didn't pick Paul Bettany, either. Sigh.

Best end credit:
AHMED... Ahmed Ahmed

I didn't recognize Jeff Bridges at all. When I saw his name in the first bit of end credits I thought "He was in it? Who was he???" And was later surprised to find he was Obadiah. And I didn't recognize Stan Lee - but later when I read through IMDB's trivia I found out who he was and just laughed.

Heh, I did recognize Bridges when I saw him... I wanted to yell, "Who's the Big Lebowski now" in the movie theatre, somewhere near the end, but I controlled myself...

It's one of the better superhero movies around.

Ah, but did you spot Captain America's shield on Stark's workbench?

And you stayed for the post-credits bit, right?

As someone who reads the Ultimates version of Avengers (and I can totally explain that if you don't read that version) the end bit absolutely made my week.
Sadly I am a young whippersnapper and did not recognize the theme song at all, I did spot Stan though.

What did you think of the representations of race in the film?

Good to know I wasn't the only one to think of the "Does whatever an iron can": I was trying to remember the theme song from the old cartoon show on the way to the cinema, and that popped into my head and stuck there. Didn't stop me enjoying the film, fortunately.

(Mind you, while I loved the use of the Spiderman theme in Spidey 2, I was disappointed when they wimped out before getting to the 'radioactive blood' line.)
