Bullying puts young homosexuals at risk, says the Herald's obvious and underplayed headline. What the news actually is, is this: "Lesbian, gay and bisexual young people are attempting suicide and harming themselves at an alarming rate because of bullying in Queensland schools, a report shows." (Check the Open Doors site for the report, due to be published this Friday.)
Old boy seeks $2m for years of torment; Schoolboy victim of years of peer abuse sues; Bullying victim sues for $2m; Bully victim built secret nest, court told. Basically, this poor devil's mental health has been completely destroyed by his school's tolerance of systematic abuse and violence. Give 'em heaps, mate, on behalf of all of us.
