Got a very unlikely 15 this morning. Tried warming up my hands and the bgm and got a 13. Riiight. Called the Accu-Chek hotline, who suggested getting some new test strips - the ones I have now are close to their expiry date. Oh, I would love these dodgy readings to be a technical error.

I know that exact feeling. Alas, a holiday centred around long sedentary car trips, visiting wineries, and convention parties has left me acutely aware that it probably really isn't an error :-( time for a few days of light eating and exercise.

This might just be the case, you know. We once checked our cat with old stripes and also got enormously high readings, something like 22. He looked fine so we used new ones and found that the initial test was indeed way off.

I had my little shock last week when a urine test turned out to contain lots of sugar. But I'm alright, appearantly. Phew...
