Robyn Fordyce-Wheeler, writing in Australian Women's Forum (November 1994), provided me with two useful expressions oft heard in this household.
On reticence about matters menstrual, she remarks: "Women never respond to a 'how are you?' with 'fine, but bleeding like a stuck pig"."
And she quotes her Texan friend, "undie-less" beside the swimming pool, who says she is "airin' mah thang".
