Sri Lanka has confirmed that asylum seekers "screened out" by the four-question test will be transferred to its navy ships at sea. They may face torture and/or imprisonment without charge or trial.
ETA: According to the Tamil Refugee Council, at least 11 of the asylum seekers had been imprisoned and tortured by Sri Lankan security forces before fleeing the country.
