I'd also like to ask why, if "the Vietnamese" believe that the war wasn't about "us," do they call it "The American War"?
If I knew that, I'd forgotten it. In this context, it's hilarious.
(Egad, another gaping hole in my knowledge of history. Fortunately I have some resources floating about the house with which to try and plug it.)
