I think it's intended for several dozen very old people who read about heroic engineers in Astounding during the fifties, and who want all their SF to be just like that forever.

Their readership may overlap with the group that keeps writing in to the Science Fiction Book Club to complain about all the sex and swearing in books nowadays.
