If you comment...
1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll name something we should do together.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me).
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.
or, I will include an icon just for YOU in my reply)
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal so you can do the same for other people. Ok, must is a little strong. But it would only be fair.

7. Was there ever really a question about you two choosing to live in Sydney?

Date: 2006-04-14 03:46 am (UTC)Yes, there was serious question. We'd originally decided to do it the other way around, but I could see Kate getting more and more apprehensive about how limited she'd be up in Gaithersburg without a car, and having to walk everywhere, and oh God Washington in August, and quite frankly seeming heartbroken at the thought of leaving everything she knew behind. So I thought, hell, I loved Sydney when I was there for six months, and it'd be easier for me to move.
And as a result I've missed everyone up there terribly for years, and lost touch with far too many people... but I figure it was for the best.
Maybe someday we might still head back up that way for good -- assuming the entire city hasn't become one big mass of gridlock...
