Most embarrassing reason for borrowing a book EVER

I borrowed Luke Rhinehart's The Dice Man today because Gareth-David Lloyd said he liked it in an interview.

(I'd also like to note that Frankus is sitting on my desk in such a way that it's very difficult to type most vowels without flicking him in the nose.)

LOL! That's adorable, Kate.

I read that a few years ago and found it really odd. And unsettling. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

The Dice Man is one of the most disturbing books I've ever read. At times it made me feel quite uncomfortable, but I continued to read it, it was like a car wreck.
I'd say I hope you enjoy it, but I'm not sure its the right sentiment... :)

Thats not to say I think its a bad book. I think its brilliant, and the idea of allowing a dice to make all your life decisions is... I dunno. Something.

Fantastic novel, loved every page of it!

(no matter who recommended it!)

Oh god I hated that novel! Mysogynistic bullshit on practically every page. And the whole 'this book changed my life' claim? I daresay their lives weren't up to much in the first place.
