OK, miniatures collectors. Why the hell don't the online stores, Ebay listings, etc, tell you how large the bloody things are?!

Mrr? They don't even have weird coded size scale names like model trains do (O, HO, N, etc.)?

[identity profile] kateorman.livejournal.com 2009-01-15 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. I had to email them and ask.

Are we talking miniatures, as in D&D style? Those are typically 25-30mm for a human-sized critter.

Care to give more info about what you're looking at?

No wuckas - I emailed them to ask, and it's about 2 1/2 inches.

Did you know you're on wikepedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_monsters_and_aliens
under Caxtarids.

Hey, I know someone famous.

I'd be pretty bloody shocked if they hadn't, frankly! =:o>

The Doctor Who-related info on Wikipedia is very thorough and comprehensive, thanks to the efforts of folks like [livejournal.com profile] khaosworks. Just visit the "New Adventures" page here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Adventures), for example, and scroll down to the list of novels, and you'll notice that nearly all the authors' names link to their own pages.

I'm not a Dr Who fan. I'm an occassional watcher. I know Kate and John as friends. And brillant writers. Not Dr Who celebrities.

Fairy nuff. =:o} I hope I haven't caused offence/nightmares/whatever with this glimpse into our scarily intense little world...
