Building disaster at the medium pyramid

I have nothing to say on the subject - it's just a great title for an egyptological article. :D

Agreed. Sounds also like a wonderful title for an album.

Yet again, a little off topic, but I think that you'd find this both confronting yet interesting.

Most of the information is on the wensite already, but to sum up: the Gruen Transfer has an area on their show which challanges Advertising companies to create ads about controversial or odd topics. This week it was for anti-discrimination. This particular ad did not make it on-air because it was considered too confronting, so it was allowed on the website instead. There is a panel after the ad discussing this.

Here's the link.

Oh yeah, seen mentions of this in the news. The actors involved deserve BAFTAs or the Australian advertising equivalent: they will haunt my dreams. I confess, though, the ad didn't quite work for me - it's supposed to surprise me with the "fat chicks" joke, and I just sort of nodded, then was puzzled when the ad stopped and that was the whole point.

Weirdly, I am a fat chick, and I was far more offended by the first three jokes! Possibly when we got to the punchline my brain was still back with Santa Claus and co.

Sounds like a newspaper headline...

"Building disaster at the medium pyramid"

3 slaves are dead and 17 injured after a stone toppled of its wooden gantry at the medium pyramid this morning.

The slave master was quoted as saying "Crocodile crocodile wavy lines, oval reed ibis basket".

*cracking up*

Crocodile crocodile wavy lines, oval reed ibis basket.

And now the news in cuneiform. The slave master was quoted as saying, "Bunch of triangles, another bunch of triangles, thing that looks a bit like a space invader, another thing that might possibly be a fish turned sideways."
