Appear-to-have-it-all-together. As a substitute for real substance, genuine power. Even our goddesses. New Age spiritual guides, even we spiritual feminists, urge ourselves to image 'positively': smiling, wise, benevolent, graciously non-confrontational ladies. Those who succor, shelter, soothe, agree and understand. Goddesses of therapy rather than bitches of politics; goddesses of personal wellbeing rather than witches of global change. Healing, not upheaval, because we are all, as the whole doomed world is, alone, scared, in pain, stressed-out, terminally obstructed, overdosed and confused.

"Post-politics"? Not bloody likely... And some of us don't have a goddess of therapy; certainly not me (see userpic). Although Artemis isn't really the "swing first" type - just don't mess with her, because she doesn't turn the other cheek.
