Via [livejournal.com profile] hnpcc: the very useful Below the Line shows you the preference flow for each party.

Still on Australian politics: Wendy Francis' statements about same-sex parenting are incorrect.

"The research has found no differences between the mental health of children raised by same-sex parents and children raised by different-sex parents."

Unless one counts tolerance and acceptance of gay/lesbian/bi/poly/other alternative sexuality as a mental health problem, which sadly some extreme conservatives seem to.

I'd also like to point out that Below the Line lets you play around with the preferences and print out your personalised Senate voting ticket. Because it's fun.

Also - The ABC has a calculator which lets you see what the primary vote is doing for the Senate ticket.

In Victoria it turns out that even if the (for example) Shooters and Fishers party get 33% of the vote post-zombie attack then Conroy and Carr (of the ALP) still get in according to this site. Not sure what it would take to dislodge them at this point...
