Latest tsunami info - hotlines, travel info, charities.

Can't wrap my head around 120,000 dead. 2400 times the size of my family. Half the population of Babylon, bit less than half the population of Canberra. 0.12 MIPs (Millions of Innocent People). That number's only going to go up.

I was talking to Jon last night about doing a tiny fanzine - just four pages. Given some contribs, I could realistically produce such a thing and mail it out (or email it out) within the next two weeks. Would it be realistic to flog it as a tsunami relief fundraiser for, say, $AUD10 (about $8US or 4 pounds)? Who could write or draw something within the next week?

I'm in, name your genre, word count and and format.

It is likely that people would pay this much.

Brilliant. 800 words on any topic of interest to fans (word length flexible due to time constaint - I'd need this by next Friday). Something on RPGs would be fine. If you like, suggest a few topix and we'll back-and-forth.

Suggestions

1) stats for the 8th Doctor (or others) (companions?) in various rpg systems. Would need an overview description of each of them. I have the stats from the Time Lord system for Drs 1-7

2) Overview and links for the various Dr Who RPGs out there and conversion notes to d20 and GURPs

3) Something specific RPG wise based on one or more of your books. Would need some suggestions for this. Are there any races / technologies / interesting planets I could draw on and put stats and notes for that you would be comfortable with me doing?

I can help with conversion to and distribution of PDF via rpgnow if there is sufficient rpg quantity to warrant it's distribution on that site. The website takes 25% of sales, but hits 500-600 regular customers and 10 times that number of irregular customers.

*thinking hat* The main buyers for this thing will be Who fans rather than roleplayers, so your bit needs to be accessible to non-roleplayers. Could you do a comparison of the different Who RPGs, accessible to non-roleplayers but also of interest to roleplayers? A case study (rather than an overview) would also be appropriate for this word length - an amusingly silly rule, a bit of roleplaying history, the sort of brief, amusing/interesting piece that the Big Issue has that you can read on the train.
