For an interesting riff on Jerry Cornelius, it's worth checking out Grant Morrison's "The Invisibles". The relevant bit is in the "Entropy in the UK" storyline, but I'd start from the beginning, as the series is damned confusing at the best of times.

damned confusing

I fear nothing!!!

Moorcock, in A Cure for Cancer: Note to reader: this book has an unconventional structure.

Reader: Oh, shit.

I found the Dancers at the End of Time a nice Moorcock comedown after A Cure For Cancer. It's such a quaint series, especially An Alien Heat.

I love Dancers at the End of Time. It's so awesome.

I found that after reading some of his other stuff (Dancers at the End of Time, the Eternal Champion, Fabulous Harbours), that his Jerry Cornelius stories made more sense.

As a youngster I was enormously amused by discovering that Elric's flowery defiance of his brother (I forget the exact phrase) had become "As corny as ever, Frank."
