(no subject)

If that was it for Mr Glenister, I am so not sitting through the rest of Kingdom of Heaven. Somebody help me out here.

He was in there?

The leper king is good value.

Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus from Rome) also turns up -- apparently he is going to be Thor...! Am Brendan Gleeson is his usual insane self.

He has the first line in the movie, but mysteriously vanishes almost at once. There must be some deleted scenes or something, though, because there are some screen grabs around which I couldn't spot in the film.

the who and the what, now? i watched that piece of drek back when i thought moving to los angeles hadn't quite sucked out all of david thewlis's talent (was wrong, alas), and i don't recall any glenister-ish personages in it at all.

although, come to think of it, that could be the answer to your question right there. :/

I'm engaged in the standard Back Catalogue Slut routine right now. Just watched Calendar Girls; State of Play is in the post. Anywho, PG is in about the first five seconds of the movie, and I think a tiny bit more in the director's cut or some hoo hah. Some caps are here.

ah...i think i might vaguely remember his death scene now. vaguely. :/

i need to see calendar girls again, though. very sweet movie with some brilliant actresses, and the photographer character was adorable, from what i remember of him.

Are you watching the fairly crappy theatrical edit or the very, very good (IMO) director's cut?

O RLI?

[identity profile] kateorman.livejournal.com 2007-09-20 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Aha! Tous s'explique.

:Liam Neeson's acting a bit in this, which is nice, after I was made to sit through the Phantom Edit the other night.
lferion: Liam Neeson still from The Crucible (Liam_quintillian)

The director's cut is a much better film than the theatrical release -- and Jeremy Irons does some nice stuff as well as Liam.

Sagramore is in it! I'm going to watch it again now that I know that, actually. XD

I has given this some thought:

Right, obvs Sam Tyler is the Master, and that means Gene Hunt is the Doctor. See, the Doctor has erased the Master's memory and Chameleon-Arched the both of them, but retained his own memory. And his plan is to show the Master how nice it is to be nice, playing Gene as someone A Bit Shady to show how tiring it is when your boyfriend is Not Nice and does not respond that much to your Homoerotic Subtext.

Am I... ginger?

The leper king gets an awesome moment fairly late in the movie. If you can fast-forward, fast-forward to that and watch it.

LOL

"If you can fast-forward"?! I'll have you know I paid actual money to see this film!
