*falls over*

My CPAP mask has gone funny. I keep being woken up by sudden blasts of cold air to the eye. Unsurprisingly I am so tired today I don't know up from down. Plus! My right ankle - and I am not exaggerating this - is twice the size of my left. Overdid it at the gym last night, methinks. I saw the foot surgeon last week; I may need another MRI, and possibly a couple of surgeries to fix the mess a second time. Just have to see how it goes. In other news, I've gone a bit vegan, which may explain why my weight has fallen despite the foodly excesses of the NZ trip; cutting down on eggs and cheese means removing a huge whack of saturated fat from my diet. I'm not trying to be strict about it - just exploring the alternatives, which for a foodie like me are full of interest.

Have you still gotthat link to the CPAP accessories site? Let me know if you need it.

Do you have a gel mask? They can occasionally rupture (speaking from bitter personal experience.)

I don't think so - would gel ooze out of the thing?

The plastic around the mask may have a small punture. Maybe you can fix it with tape. If not, here's the CPAP suppliers site

Iain's developed a high pitched whistle. He had a puncture in the hose

Thanks darl. I *think* I may have fixed the problem for now by reassambling the mask and twiddling with the straps. We shall see!

A Thort: If you've lost some weight your face may have changed shape, thus needing a tweak to the CPAP's straps...?

Flatterer! :D

"a bit vegan" :)
Good on ya. There's some damn damned tasty stuff - but a word to the wise - watch your protein intake doesn't drop and keep the Omega 3 up. My sister in law swears by a particular type of vege pattie -- she thinks it's the algae in it...

I think the Orman family curse is visiting us all at the moment and you are having your turn this week. We are off on hols. till end of March but will be keeping touch via e-mail and mobile so we can hear about the ankle.

Urgh, I really got to hate the gym as it gets me nowhere, locationwise. I'm currently on a course in Denmark and totally bored as my bank blocked my credit card and I'm somewhat out out money. So I started to do geocaching every evening, sometimes one, sometimes more with walking/running (well, I'm immediately out of breath) distances of 3-7km and my weight seems to be dropping. The best thing is that I don't seem tobe hungry afterwards. But that might just be me. But anyway, going for a walk and finding some hidden 'treasure' along the way really seems to be the best motivation for me.

Have a groovy time! CPAP mask successfully reassembled and ankle still huge but not painful, so things are looking up. :)

My dietician drummed into me the need to make sure I have some protein with every meal, if only to reduce the GI. With that in mind, I'm off to have some beans on toast. :)
