Expanding Your Horizons

Tomorrow at Gally I'm on a panel titled "Expanding Your Horizons: SF Literature From the Pros". For reference, here's a list of some of the books I mean to pimp:

Classic feminist SF:

SUZETTE HADEN ELGIN
The "Native Tongue" trilogy - Native Tongue, Judas Rose, Earthsong

SUZY MCKEE CHARNAS
The "Holdfast Chronicles" - Walk to the End of the World, Motherlines, The F*ries, The Conqueror's Child

Stuff I'm currently reading:

EMMA BULL
Bone Dance

MINISTER FAUST
The Coyote Kings of the Space-Age Bachelor Pad

I'll expand on this over at [livejournal.com profile] dreamer_easy when I get the chance!

Oh the Native Tongue trilogy, fantastic! I've read that so many times...
By the way, did you know she is on LJ? [livejournal.com profile] ozarque

Have you read any Lois McMaster Bujold? She's amazing.

Seconding the Bujold rec! Lots of her work has free samples -- or even whole shorter pieces -- online. I can provide links, if desired . . .

Wish I was at Gally with the *rest* of my f-list, but no dice this year. :( Still, hope everyone attending has a great time!
