Do you sleep with earplugs in? I started using them when I got my cat (she's an active wee blighter at night), but now I use them all the time, even if I'm away from home or the cat's not with me - the quality of my sleep is so much better with them in.
Blocking out external noise seems to slow my thoughts and helps me doze off - they should call them brainplugs.
