Working in a bookshop, living in a bedsit, and not actually watching much telly, as far as I can recall, on account of not having a telly. However, I would have been looking forward to the first episode of City Of Death, and there was a university hall of residence in Mecklenburgh Square whither soren_nyrond and I used to repair once in a while, and they had a telly. So I may have seen it there.
This was the story which featured a line which would never be said by any contemporary or prospective Doctor: "Well, you're a beautiful woman, probably."
