Here 'tis. Notes to self:
- I can't make sense out of verse 7. What is God telling Cain?
- verses 10-12 are sad and scary.
- Intriguingly, the mark of Cain is a warning from God *not* to kill him - a lessening of his punishment - rather than a sign saying "murderer". (Is this an example of "vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord"?)
- Uh-oh - begats! :-)
- Where are the city of Enoch and the land of Nod? (Oh - I never got before that the latter, referring to sleep, was a Biblical reference. Y'learn something new every day.)
- OK, I know this is an old chesnut, but where'd the wives come from? ("Science Made Stupid" suggests they evolved, neatly reconciling science and creationism. :-)
- The names clearly have meanings - for instance, Eve comments on why Seth is called that. Must look these up.
