- Where's Nahor? (Oh - it's not a place, it's Abraham's brother.)
- Due to Sarah's very late conception, an extra generation has passed, so Rebekah is the granddaughter of Abraham's brother. (Does that make her Isaac's grandcousin? :-)
- I'm taken by the phrase "let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them."
- Rebekah covers herself with a veil before meeting Isaac. That's interesting - she doesn't need to do so in the presence of Abraham's unnamed servant, only before her intended. I wonder what the signifiance is?
