Sep. 7th, 2004 06:38 pmUnderworld, Born Slippy, including the 12-minute version which xplod my head during the Triple J Hot 100 all those years ago. It took, no joke, three tries to get hold of this CD single, with two previous purchases disappearing in the mail. Aliens at work. (Although that candidate signal which NS made such a fuss about was probably emitted by the Republican Convention.)
MC 900 Ft Jesus - Truth Is Out of Style, one of many songs I taped off the radio in the 90s. The tapes have long since been chucked out and I'm replacing my favourite songs with legit copies.
The Cars - Candy-O. Despite the embarrassing cover. Replacing an old tape. (Incredibly, a bought one.)
Loverboy - some best of, with an even more embarrassing cover.
Golden Earring, The Continuing Story of Radar Love, a best of, for Radar Love and Twilight Zone. Although the great pleasure of buying best-ofs is when you discover a track you'd never heard before, but really like.
