Something that disappoints me about this election - the rivalry between the Greens and the Democrats. As minor parties with similar progressive policies, I can't help but feel we ought to be allies. In fact, we ought to be swapping preferences with each other; instead both parties are bitching about the others' dodgy preference swaps. Instead of squabbling over the progressive vote we ought to be collaborating to get Howard chucked out, and plenty of progressive senators into the Senate to maintain the balance of power.
