Russia signed Kyoto! Howard remains unmoved. Does Not Play Well With Others. Meanwhile, the WWF's Living Planet Report says Australia has one of the world's worst "ecological footprints"; only the US, the UAE, and Kuwait use more resources per capita. Overall the human race is using 20% more resources than can be replaced.

ETA: omgomgomg! Howard might not control the Senate after all. The Greens might beat him for that crucial 39th seat. Also some great commentary on Senate preferences. "A voting system so complex that even if every house in the country had its own walking, talking Antony Green doll in the living room it's doubtful many more people would understand it." I want one of those!
