Mar. 8th, 2005 03:52 pmThe closure of the Doctor Who novels slushpile is a sad, but hopefully temporary situation. That slushpile gave me my big break and has done the same for numerous terrific writers (eg Nick Wallace, whose knockout EDA Fear Itself will be out in September).
It strikes me as odd, though, that so many fans lamenting the slushpile's demise have never actually submitted anything to it - eg Steve Hatcher in the latest Enlightenment. Guys, it's been thirteen years: get a move on.
