I saw a billboard in Sydney with the slogan "You are nine months older than you think," with a picture of a well-developed foetus, a baby, and a grown woman. No indication of who paid for it. It disturbs me that anti-choice activists invariably use images of older, recognisably human foetuses; if a fertilised egg, an embryo, or an early foetus are all human, then they ought to be featured as well. The problem is, of course, that it's very difficult for us to accept
a yucky lump of tissue as a human being; for anti-choice activists, showing the truth would be scoring an own goal.
btw, in
US news, that poor
thirteen year old in Florida will be able to have an abortion.
