All Monsters Attack

I'm just watching a DVD compilation of old monster movie trailers (sadly unrestored). Odd how every dinosaur flick claims you've never seen anything like it. Anyway, the best bits are the casts:

"The Lost World, starring Michael Rennie, Jill St. John, David Hedison, Claude Rains and Frosty the Poodle!"

"The Blob, starring Steve McQueen, and a cast of exciting young people!"

Chapter 2 is well underway. The jokes seem to be working OK and I feel like I have a handle on the most elusive character. Today's been the first chance I've had to do real work on the novel all week (I've been wrecked for so much of the time), so it's very satisfying.

Have a squiz at the site for the Say No To Animals In Pet Shops campaign. They aim to put unscrupulous puppy and kitten breeders out of business, and educate the public to obtain their pets from shelters. (I'm pleased to say that frankxcat and timbus came to us from the good folks at the Cat Protection Society. Speaking of the boys, Frankus has just sat on my mouse, forcing me over to the other side of the desk.)
