Further to my last posting, I thought I'd find out just how oppressed we Anglo-Celts are here in the land of Oz, with the help of the most recent census.

In 2001, there were at least three million Australians who were not of Anglo-Celtic descent! Out of only nineteen million of us! Almost three percent of Australians were Buddhists or Muslims!

And almost two million were Irish! Oh wait, those are Celts! Probably! Maybe if they're not Catholics! Or something!

Tasmania is one of the world's major suppliers of licit opiate products! That's irrelevant!

We have only our head of state, her representative, our flag, our national language, our political system, Easter, Christmas, and the Queen's Birthday holiday, to remind us of our origins!

I dunno about you, but as an Anglo-Celtic Australian, I'm trembling in my wellies!
