He: I think you should stick to the unconscious mind; that way you only have to deal with your own thoughts.
Me: ... well said.

Staff member, joking, to cashier: Are you authorised to use this cash register?
Me: Don't worry. I'm operating him by remote control.
Cashier: Like all women, in my case.
Me: ... that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me today.

Kris the cat's surgery was successful, and he's home again. Thanks to anyone who was able to throw a few bucks his way to help cover the monster cost of saving his leg!
