(no subject)

I owe everyone on this Earth an email. Here are my excuses.

I dunno how obvious it was, but for much of this year, I've been struggling with increasingly paralysing depression. This was relieved like the strike of a lightning bolt when I read a list of depression symptoms in a self-help book, and realised that my life, marriage, job, etc etc were not the problem at all. It was like a satori, incredibly sudden and profound, and my mental elf has been brilliant ever since.

That was a few weeks ago, but the other thing devouring my time and energy has of course been the Benny novella(s). The deadline was yesterday, so the mss have been shot off into the ether, leaving me free to get back to all the stuff that's piled up in the meantime. I enjoyed the project a lot, but holy cow it took a lot of work. Saturday was insane.

So those who have been waiting, patiently or impatiently, can look forward to having my attention at last over the next week or so. :-)
