outsdr, bad news from Ohio: Proposed legislation in Ohio would require women to get a man's permission to have an abortion.
The heads-up from The Consumerist includes links to the text of the Bill and to a local newspaper article about it with more details: "Women would be required to present a police report in order to prove a pregnancy is the result of rape or incest." The majority of sexual assault victims, who do not report the crime, would therefore face the additional victimisation of giving birth to their attacker's child.
