Earth Park. It's bizarre how everything you've learned, experienced, or thought about recently just goes slotting itself into your narratives.
Was discussing the balance between planning ahead and improvising writing with Jon and
stevencaldwell last night. As Lance and Lloyd both pointed out to me in recent weeks, I demonstrably already know how to write, and don't need to learn how to do it "properly". So I've basically returned to my normal method of a rough outline, lots of very fast typing, and pauses in which to work out the bits I'm stuck on. Fortunately, I'm turning out material that's much closer to publishable than I did back in the day - it won't need such a huge amount of editing to make it coherent. I think all the reading I've been doing is starting to affect my writing, too. w00t.
ETA: 1300 words, and my brane's about to fall out of my ear.
