Dear Doctor Who fandom,

I know we have a... difficult... relationship, but this morning, I am proud of you.

Faced with this calumny:

You responded not just with healthy, media-savvy scepticism, but by posting, and linking to, evidence that no such thing happened:

"This so-called news item is complete and utter rubbish. I was there at the performance in question and no-one knew David was there - he was sitting a couple of rows behind me in the circle. Also, there is NO interval - so that part of 'the report' is 100% fabrication! After, he went backstage presumably to meet up with the cast and there was no-one asking for autographs or anything of that sort, let alone 'sonic screwdriver-waving' fans. This is not journalism, it is fiction."

"I've also seen the play and have been busily posting "THERE IS NO INTERVAL!!!" on other forums! My suspicion - a paparazzi saw DT and GM leaving the theatre after the "first half" of the play, and didn't realise there was no second half so made up an explanation."

Google's Streetview continues to claim victims

How Google put Bill's grief on show

... are we to understand that Google's camera operators saw an unconscious man lying by the roadside and blithely went on taking their snaps?!

"Street View has already exposed a cheating spouse, uncovered a lying neighbour and snapped a man sleeping on the job."

Dammit! The thing would be so useful if it was limited to non-residential areas, like shopping centres.

ETA: "I'm all for mapping, but this feature literally gives me the shakes. I feel like I need to close all my curtains now."

"The next step might be seeing books on my shelf. If the government was doing this, people would be outraged."

Writing advice

OK, the context here is a little embarrassing. Fanboy boasts he can write better than RTD, produces Doctor Who/The Prisoner crossover fic, Jon shoots fish in barrel.
