I blogged previously about Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin's pro-life and anti-sex education stance. She's also linked to a scandal over rape victims being charged up to $1200 for the medical examination used to gather forensic information. This policy is not just outrageous in itself; it would actually promote rape, since it would dissuade victims from reporting the crime. In direct response to the policy, the state of Alaska made it illegal to charge rape victims for their exams.
