Oho, I said to myself, said I.
Jun. 3rd, 2010 12:58 pmI've become increasingly ragged, so I just had my CPAP machine and mask checked out. The machine records various statistics while I'm sleeping. In recent days - probably weeks - my mask has fit my face so badly that I may as well as not been wearing it - I've been having about as many episodes of apnoea during the night as I was when I was first diagnosed. Jon and I had both noticed the mask was being a bit of a pest recently, making noises and needing a lot of tugging around, but I think it's crept up on us. And sleep deprivation robs you of the IQ points necessary to realise there's a problem and you need to fix it! Anywho, I now have instructions on correctly adjusting my mask, plus a two-week trial of a new-fangled one. I already like the new one because its straps are stuck on properly and don't go "fwip!" all the time.
