Continuing apolitical failure
Aug. 9th, 2010 12:35 pmWith the federal election coming up on 21 August, it's time to suss out who the candidates are in your electorate, and make the crucial decision: which of the nutcase parties are you going to put last?
In our electorate, Bennelong, the green ballot paper for the House of Reps will have eight candidates, with a smorgasbord of possibilities for the coveted eighth spot. Will it be One Nation? Fred Nile? The Climate Sceptics? Family First?
That important decision taken care of, who else have we got, other than the three majors? The Sex Party (in it for the money, obvs, but some sound policies) the Carers Alliance (attractive after watching the video about disability and civil rights
michaeldthomas just posted), the Lib Dems... who the hey are Building Australia? Builders? I need to check everyone's preference flows; sometimes that's all the information you get about a small party, and often it's the only information you need.
ETA: Oh. They are builders. I know no more as their Website appears to be down.
