Fell into bed like like a boulder at about 9.30 pm, then woke up at 6 am. Yesterday was the first serious drowsiness I've had on the Epilim - possibly because yesterday I woke up at 6.30 am. I napped so hard yesterday afternoon that I dreamed.

All books on bipolar (and everything ever) advise good sleep hygiene, so I am sticking strictly to a schedule - no caffeine after 4 pm, in bed by 10 pm, lights out by 11 pm. The early wakeups are a bit of a surprise. I'm going back to bed in a mo to try and get a little more shuteye before (probably) fetching Frankus later today.

"The Egyptians knew that their answers could not be definitive, and this flexible and pluralistic approach is the essence of their philosophical position. The idea that there is no single answer, that everything is flow and every answer provisional, is worth investigating today, in an age that has focused attention on fragmentation while continuing to cling to a history of absolutes."
- Erik Hornung, Idea into Image: Essays on Ancient Egyptian Thought (Introduction)

He's home again, and I'm spoon-feeding him chunks of chicken breast. The naughty thing managed to remove the drip from one of his front legs overnight. No harm done, but the resulting bruising meant he currently has one forepaw which is about three times the size of the other one, as though he's been drawn by Jack Kirby. (Pix have been taken and will be shared when I find the cable.)
