I'm trying to bridge the gap between the complicated studies of fandom which people like Henry Jenkins write and the 'I'm a mad fan' books that sometimes appear. I will eventually get round to the 'I'm a mad fan' book myself (there are some good stories to tell in my particular corner of fandom) but at the moment I am (to quote the bf) writing a book to make a point. I'm on chapter 5 of eight and wrestling with the fandom/religion discussion which I am trying add something to.
