Why I don't do drugs

In summary, the most important factors have been lack of peer pressure, concern about interactions with medications, and mental elf.
Tobacco: lack of peer pressure; no family members who smoked; health education.
Alcohol: lack of peer pressure. I didn't start drinking until I was over thirty. At the moment I'm avoiding it due to potentially dangerous interaction with my diabetes medication. In any case I'm a light drinker.
Illegal drugs: again, lack of peer pressure. Prohibition - not fear of prosecution, but uncertainty about ingredients, and possible harm done to growers, smugglers, etc. Concern about possible mental health effects (for example, LSD can cause panic attacks; THC affects serotonin receptors) - also concern about interactions with my antidepressant.
I bet you were all gagging to know.
