I have no idea how Frank managed to get into the kitchen cupboard. I'd never have known he was there if Tim hadn't sat in the kitchen, looking intently at the cupboard doors and opera singing, until I twigged what he was singing about.

But it was Romeo and Juliet, the balcony scene!

"Frankeeeoooww!! Frankeeeoooww!! Wherefore art thou Frankeeeoooww? For starters you're another bloke, which is confusing meeeeeoowwww!!!"

You interrupted just as Romeo was about to enter. ={:o{

Sounds like Frank has a bit of Schondinger's (sic) cat in him. To understand this reference in a non-cience way, please read the Unadulterated cat by Terry Pratchett (yes that one) and Joliffe Gray. Possibly the funniest thing Pratchett has written.

Our cats would say that makes Tim a dobber. :-)

I once opened the silverware drawer to find Buster (pictured in icon) curled up inside and looking up at me in surprise. He had gotten into the cabinet below, crawled up into the drawer from the inside, and fallen asleep on top of the forks and spoons. The little scamp.

Fuu has been "exploring" the kitchen cabinets lately, too, which really pisses me off. I bought some kid-proofing stuff but I've decided to save it for the new place. :P

They do it just because they can: like the time we found my parents cat *in* the oven.

I was minding my own business watching TV one weekend afternoon and wondered after a while where Jack was. I heard his collar clinking somewhere near the stairs, and it took me another ten minutes to figure out he was inside the front closet. He didn't seem overly bothered about his predicament, either.
