Though maybe it depends how you look at it... Maybe the Dawn Service at sunrise to honor the fallen, and fireworks at sunset to celebrate what they did for us?
I wouldn't do fireworks if I was planning it though.
Well, I spent it glorying in a fictional sacrifice - the film by Danny Boyle called Sunshine. Though highly derivative, this cosmic romp sees a group of ridiculously young people from diverse backgrounds willing to sacrifice their lives for those left behind, even when they know it just might not work.
And there were fireworks. Seems an appropriate way to spend Anzac day to me.
