"It would be an honour to call you Harry!"

Just got a boxed set of the first season of Night Court. Heh. Haven't seen it since the eighties, when I started watching it to catch the A-Team trailer in the middle. It's gently funny and charming. The two deadpan straight men, Bull (Richard Moll) and Fielding (John Laroquette) particularly stand out.
ETA a few memories: The show had the first positive representation of a gay character that I'd ever seen - I've never forgotten how the characters took his sexuality totally in their stride. There was also a witch! And Laroquette's impression of the Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz, which caused me to have a ten-minute laughing fit, in total silence, as I was watching it in the middle of the night.
