I think it's interesting ... I've read so often that Russell T Davies is arrogant, self-obsessed etc., but when you read an interview like that, you really see RTD's showman side. RTD could talk up an episode of Neighbours if he liked it or had a hand in it. Chibnall sounds disengaged and just a bit vague. "There are no branches of Torchwood overseas - but wouldn't it be cool if there were..." is SO wrong. You need to be saying, "Maybe - wait and see - there are all sorts of stories to tell..." or at the very least "No, it's a Welsh series and we get a lot of power from staying in Cardiff."
I'm still looking forward to this series, though - lots.
