On vetly advice I brought home a raw chicken wing each for the cats. They immediately fell upon and seized the hapless limbs, divvying up the kitchen between them, and growling like mad: "This is mine!!!" The effect of growling while eating vigorously, in Frank's case, is that he is actually saying RRRRRRRRRRR NOM NOM NOM.

I have never heard a cat go NOM NOM NOM for kibble or canned food -- but I've heard it several times when real meat was involved.

Our three cats had chicken wings tonight. The noise of crunching bones and smacking lips was pretty disgusting so they were banned to the laundry.

Watch out for left over bits - you don't want to tread on them. Also, Tim gobbled the end of a bone this morning and promptly projectile vomited it. (Who knew Jon could move so quickly!)

We tried this with the Fluffy Princess, but she turned her nose up at it. Chicken is only acceptable if it comes off our plates.
