This morning I listened to David Troughton reading my short story The Five-Dimensional Man, part of the latest Short Trips audio anthology from Big Finish. I am honoured. Also squeeing my head off. Not only is Mr Troughton's performance delightful (performances, really, he does all the voices, even the parrot), but the sound design is lovely. The story actually hangs together fairly well, too. Hooray!

Did you adapt the story to script, or did Big Finish?

Ah, it's a prose story being read with effects and music, rather than a script per se.

Oh I see. I was curious how the process of writing for prose vs. writing a script (or adaptation) for an audio play was different. This sounds neat.

His impression of his dad is almost eerie. (And his Jamie is lolarious. :)

I heard the Short Trips collection, bought it the day it came out mostly because I was so looking forward to a new story from you. And it was wonderful! Great job capturing the Second Doctor era. And I loved your take on the whole 1950s housewife. Very clever. Always happy to read/hear more of your work.
