delegitimize

or

delegitimise

If you must use this neologism, kindly make a note of its spelling, wot I have checked in both the online OED and online Merriam-Webster.

And while I have your attention: hypocrisy, blatant, atheist, privilege. lol.

...privilege...

Guilty! I used to misspell that one ALL THE TIME!

On a possibly related note, I was sorta mispronouncing it too. With my 'Merican accent, I typically said "PRIV'lidj". Now that I know how to spell it, I pronounce it slightly differently too. More like "PRIV'lədj".

Is that weird?

My bugbear was harassment, which I would spell with a variable number of rs and ss.

I should look up what this word actually means. It sounds a bit like 'to legitimate the action to delegate work'. Hmm.. I think I need some holidays

lol

It means the opposite of "to legitimate", that is, to declare that something is legal or valid. Damn I can think of an existing synonym, let alone a less ugly one.
