dreamer_easyI need to gafiate for a while. I'm seeing all the brilliant, positive things about fandom - the creativity, the camaraderie, the insight, the love - being corroded by self-absorbed, self-important, self-righteous, possessive, overentitled malice. I'm stuck with fandom, I'll always be a fan. But in recent weeks, watching fans egg each other on in their careless ugliness has sucked all the joy out of it for me.
ETA: At 3 in the morning on Valium I am sincere but pompous. To put the above another way: Finally ODed on the hate. Bite yer bums.
Ah, the freedom of gafiation! I'm deleting certain comments unread and I've jerked out of a dozen comms. If nothing else the time savings will be enormous. Although I haven't quite worked out yet how I'm going to keep up with Who filming news and sexeh pix from Comic Con.
