In terrible shape, but working on the novel nonetheless. It's going to the agent next week come hell or high water. Have finally resolved the bloody languages problem yey.
My husband is having a devil of a time getting an agent. He's been published by Baen books for years, he's got three books out, two on the way, one of which sold out. Oddly they've only made money with his stuff too, which is rare for a unknown author, you'd think it would be easy to find someone to represent him. He started looked for agents a few years ago, no luck. Agents are hard to find, even if you have publications under your belt.
No is really doesn't but it's how it works here I guess. He's been looking since 2005, even went the extra mile by going and meeting agents at cons and all. Nothing. He's got one guy now looking at his stuff with the idea that he'll get nothing from him for a year, if he likes Ryk's work mind you.
It is INSANE. I really don't understand the industry at all. But there you have it, at least here in the States, agents are picky as all hell I guess....
