Sudden, awful thought

Surprisingly, this has never occurred to me before. That pattern in the Hebrew Bible where Israel strays from God and is punished, typically by other nations working as God's agents. Does it lend itself to a horrible reading of recent history?

I tend to overload myself. I find it hard not to think constantly about the housework that needs doing, the emails that need answering, etc; and I tend to start new projects all the time. Obviously this is a cause of stress and anxiety, but I'm starting to realise it's also a symptom. The need to be doing something all the time lest I be sucked screaming into the swirling void (© Alison Bechdel). (Starting new projects is also a great way of procrastinating.)
